The WÖHWA Weigh Belt Feeder is a combination of the robust WÖHWA belt feeder and the precision belt scale. Both are available as standalone products, but the combination gives you full control over the required feed rate. The accuracy of the weigh belt feeder is dependent on a repeatable and consistent belt tension and a consistent bed of material on the belt. The belt tension consistency is overcome with the WÖHWA automatic belt tensioning assembly, and if the weigh belt is auto-calibrated before every startup, the belt tension and any temperature expansion-related influences are considered. The material bed depth and profile are controlled by an adjustable inlet scraper – the only prerequisite to ensure that is consistent is for a weigh belt feeder inlet to have a head of material above it and never run out of material. A switch assembly is available to sense when the bed of material on the belt drops below an acceptable level.
Available Standard Versions:
Automatic Belt Tensioning Device: A constant belt tension increases the weighing accuracy.
Belt Cleaner: Maintenance-free, self-adjusting outer belt cleaner with rubber spring element for easy belt cleaning. The V-shaped inner belt cleaner prevents belt damage from material intruding between the belt and the reverse pulley.
Belt Scale: Each belt scale is supplied with a robust digital tachometer (wheel) for measuring the belt speed. The sensor and bearing are hermetically sealed to prevent contamination from dirt.
Re-Adjustment: All scales are pre-adjusted at the factory and can easily be re-adjusted on site with the supplied test weight.
